Keep Fighting to Make Life More Affordable

This Congress and administration have taken important steps to address the cost-of-living crisis created under Biden. Congress should keep building on that progress by advancing reforms that lower housing, energy, health care, and grocery costs.

Americans are doing their part: Working hard, raising families, and paying their bills. But today, that same effort results in a lower standard of living than in past decades.

Americans are working just as hard as they always have. The problem is that the system around them has become slower, more expensive, and more complicated. When it takes years to approve housing, energy, or infrastructure projects, supply falls behind demand — and prices rise.

Protecting families from higher taxes was a critical step forward. But tax relief alone cannot solve a cost-of-living crisis that is decades in the making. Congress should keep building on that momentum and continue the fight to restore affordability.
